Jat40
How did you cover the vent you deleted behind the trim? Did you have to cut anything behind the trim? Yea, the vent had to go, just cut plastic and glued into place, but there was no cutting to allow room for the install. Everything behind is factory and can be put back together. I just soldered each end and heat shrinked. Took about an hour.

meade916
looks pretty damn good and you do GREAT work!!! what keeps it from moving around though? Seems like it would slide back and forth. I didnt read all 3 pages so if its been answered sorry! Nice job for sure though. The Ipad came out like 6 or 8 months (guessing) after i installed my mac-mini, i woulda probably done the Ipad if my shit wasnt already done. The only thing is, my screen is bigger......but the ipad looks better and is easier to control with your finger. My finger isnt very precise on my touchscren monitor and scrolling can be a pain. I will wait until my setup starts giving me problems before i switch out but damn, that does look good in the dash!! Jat40
Thanks for the feedback Steve, and back at ya. Those towers you built where freakin awesome. I have got to build some for my house. To keep the Ipad from sliding, I just doubled, suede on each side, kind of holds in place but still allows to slide in and out. I knew I wanted to upgrade the HU and go with something other than just a "HU", and the Ipad just made sense at the time, but i held off for a few months, and let others trial to see if it would work. It is a little kirky at times but so far, is holding up pretty nice. Thanks again for the feedback.
