lmao keep us updated but what ever you do dont do what one of my friends did he used some cheap ass wood from the local lumber yard for like 15 bucks a sheet and did not double up the walls or anything and the port is way to small for the fi bl that he is ordering and he has a aq i believe its a 1200 or a 1500 but it is going to blow it apart and he dont really care lol his port runs the width of the box but it is only 3/4 inches tall inside demensions its just stupid small lol

anyways keep up the updates i am hooked

Thx for the comments guys. I have been sandbaggin' the last couple days but I have the shells of the new kicks made. They are 2 1/4" baffles. Should be adequate. The new kickpanels will be 90 degrees off axis firing towards each other. This should eliminate some of the floating voices over the dash and improve the center image and depth. I forgot to put up the video I did for youtube so here it is. I know you guys get a kick out of unboxing videos.

Should have the new kicks built by monday. I'll start putting up more pics. They're easier than the videos. lol

made a vid today. We are far from being done but it was nice to hear music for a couple days. Everything is coming back out to get finished up. This is a vid of the components running with the two 18"

No crazy output as I have the gains set low and it's an IB system. Each sub is getting 240 watts a piece. Once the baffle is finally done I can get the gains set. Remember when the 10" get installed the sound will substantially different and hopefully louder. I am happy with the output of the subs so far though. I'll get all the impact I need when the doors are done.

I've been slacking but the new kicks won't take long to finish. I am going to be building a ported box for the 2 18's. Then I'll throw it on a subfloor and build some beauty panels for it. The plan is to run them on 1000 watts. Right now I am looking for a amp but it will be a while. I will be using my stereo money I have budgeted for next month to goto the show in springfield on the 13th next month. After I come back though it is fucking on!

I want more output. An IB setup is great but I am looking for more dynamic range and impact. I can't add more wattage without reaching the mechanical limit of the drivers. The car was going to get walled off eventually anyway. Were going to start with the ported box and maybe move to 4 sealed. The two in a ported box on 1-1.5k ought to be enough...at least for a while. The problem is I am never satisfied. That's why I am swapping out the frontstage after having it in the car for only 2 months. I may add a pair of dome mids and another pair of tweets to the "A" pillars as well.

I don't know how far I am going to take this but it should be pretty fun. My family half jokes about an intervention. I just can't help myself.
