bigmacfreak32903
sup guys well i just put in a brand new system from rf about 2 weeks ago and from day 1 its been cutting out. As soon as i want to turn it up it would cutout or sometimes it doesn't even hit the bass note and then it comes back on. When the sub cuts out the amp light is still on so is it possible that the sub is cutting out and not the amp ? I have a t1 12 on a rf prime 1000D 1000w at 2ohms sub is rated at 800rms the new 2010 model for t1s. My friend just fixed the ground all the wires have terminals and are in perfect condition (0gauge wire)any help would be appreciated ! and yes i have got the volt meter out and it has read 2ohms on the sub and amp and the amp drops down to 11 volts at lower frequencies but stays at 13 at higher frequencies Quote Vehicle:2002 Toyota sequoia limited edition Subwoofer:American bass xfl 12soon to be vfl comp Amp:2American bass phantom 4ks 4000rms (using one fornow) Headunit:Alpine cda 105 TL scre:141.75 at 35hz going to try to get it to a 45 with the new build! cracker
maybe a long shot but back in the day i had the same prob ha and even an older RF sub, but nothing to do with brand. but my prob i found was the terminal on the box somehow got a few stray strand of speaker wire touching the pos and neg together. cleaned all that BS up and away i went. all was good. but like others think id say ground maybe, have a pic of the grounding point? Then when i got the rf amp it started cutting out wich is weird as shit lol Quote Vehicle:2002 Toyota sequoia limited edition Subwoofer:American bass xfl 12soon to be vfl comp Amp:2American bass phantom 4ks 4000rms (using one fornow) Headunit:Alpine cda 105 TL scre:141.75 at 35hz going to try to get it to a 45 with the new build!
