matt14
Been wanting to go bigger for a while. Love the amp I have now ( rockford power 1000 5 channel ), but I would have to sell this amp to fund the others. So was thinking of getting a aq2200d and a aq4x90. Also would be selling the L7 and box i have now and getting 2 level 3 15's or 1 level 4 18, maybe. Should I go for it or just keep what I have already? Was going to trade my amp for a R.F T2000, but wanted to have matching amps and cannot find a T400.4 for sale ( older style, found one on ebay but was outbid). So, what should i do? THEKINGsBACK
i believe that woofersect.com has that 4 channel.. might be high but they got it i think i saw the other day Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
matt14
I just looked and diddnt see it. See the newer T400.4's all day long. The one that i was bidding on sold for $275, which is pretty high to me. hdorre
i believe that woofersect.com has that 4 channel.. might be high but they got it i think i saw the other day No, he's looking for the Power Elite T400-4. It's a completely different amp. OP, I think 2 lvl 3s or 4s on the AQ2200 could definitely be louder than the single L7. You'd have more cone area, power, and thermal/mechanical power handling. The AQ has a clipping indicator too. Of course Id prefer a T2000, but nothings wrong with the Audioque. I just don't like the bass boost on the RF, but that could easily be fixed for like $25 with an RCA attenuator I know people are going to tell you that "there's nothing like those older RFs," but that was jmo. iKidwell
2 level 3 15's for your sub choice for sure, they'll take that power with no problem long as you don't clip and beat for hours at a time Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
matt14
What about the bass boost? I want to stick with rockford, but funds will enable me to do that. That's why I was looking for the 4 channel so I can get the T2000 Quote 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-
matt14
Anyone know what the power output is on the AQ2200 at 2ohm? matt14
Sooo, I have the dilema now to buy brand new AQ2200 along with a AQ4x90, or a used R.F t1500bdcp with a new R.F t400-4. Thinking of running at 2ohm regardless of the sub amp, and knowing that the R.F puts out 1500 at 2 ohm, almost sure of going this route. Love the Rockford I have now, and really cant go wrong with both setups. Still would be running two level 3 15's or 1 level 4 18. Any input? Still running the stock 130amp alternator with a xs3400 for the ONLY battery and big 3 already done. crunkjuice1
get the RF1500 thats what I would do. The S3400 is pretty good battery You will be fine with just that.
iKidwell
why do you want to run @ 2 ohm?? just makes no sense..1500 @ 2 ohm pulls the same current as 1500 @1 ohm and 1 ohm should have less rise...lower impedance the better imo and yes..bass boost will kill any sub..
