OrionStang Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 Feel free to post suggestions for demos on the Rainbows, guys. I don't have much in my personal library that is real 'musical'. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Colin - STAPUFT Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Sick doors! I'm with everyone else- I can't stop drooling. And to do it with Rainbows. mmmmm. And doin' work with the bass too! lol How about Temple of the Dog - Say Hello to Heaven for a demo? That would be sweet. I have that same Head Unit btw. With an O-Scope, it seems to run clean all the way up to 34 or even 35 (as long as you don't boost anything). Are you using the built in processor / time alignment or no? I flip back and forth- but mostly I think I like it better without the processor running. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Micheal jackson is a strong choice because he spared no extra $$ for recording. My favorite from him is man in the mirror. As for other options, most are older rock songs and such. Heres some good ones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHQceX8hGrI&feature=related This ones great for left to right seperation. Another good seperation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0XLKcMoXRE DIYMA has a bunch of uploaded SQ discs for download in I think the SQ section. Another good place to look with the IASCA discs and such.
tonedeaf Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Couple more: One of my favorites: Guitar at 1:38ish = god on a good front stage. And of course:

With both the oscope and dd-1, I can play the deck to 34/35, which is where I set the 4 cheannel. I set the sub amp at 30/35 though, so I have more volume control with quieter recorded music. I do use the DSP, it sounds better, cleaner, could be my speaker location. The music seems "fuzzy" with the dsp off. @Tondeaf; thanks for the song suggestions, and the DIYMA info. You make me want to get another lvl 5 12 and seal off...to wall or seal off in trunk. Not active on these. It'll come sometime down the road, I want to do it right, with a BitOne and SQ amps. And that takes $$$. And yours..I vote wall so i swear i commented on this thread last night but i guess not nice build! super clean, i've always wanted to try some rainbows. i had a few questions though, which set of rainbows are you using? and if you don't mind me asking how much did your custom doors run you? Thanks, man. These are SLC 365.25NG's. I got a deal on my doors. It would run 800-1000 probably for something like mine, from a good builder. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Picking up a real new set of HSK 165 + the HL 700 midrange off a couple zuki 4 channels (will probably add a second midbass at somepoint with a second set of tweets). Paying them now. So after that, its either 2nd twelve or recone + 2 18s. Deciding on 9ks or SD/stetsom. But should bump real good. Hopefully as good as your 10s do at some point. Im just glad to have a real front stage in the works. And yeah, bitone or Ms-8 for me too. Copycat.
