i have a ported box in now and its tuned to like 32 hz

but i dont have enough port area. when i built it i was unaware that i needed a certain amount of port area.

but how much of a difference would that make. because its just not what it should sound like.

Well, twice the cone area.

But let me ask, is the amp that you plan on running rated it's rms power at 2 ohms?

Thanks for posting that. The reason I asked, is because the lowest you're going to be able to wire your subs is 2 ohms, so I would look for an amp that is stable at 2 ohms, where it puts out the most power(if that makes sense). Such as the kicker 2500.1 (2500 rms @2 ohms)

I think Cody ( cj18 ) one here clamped those amps and got 1800 @ 1 ohm Before the signal started clipping.

why wouldnt i be able to run it down to a .5 ohm? i was told that that amp could handle .5 fine.

how much is that kicker though. i found this amp for 312 shipped.

Your electrical system will determine if it can handle it or not.
