I figured out that as long as I keep the bass knob no higher than it is here, they are fine. Anything more and I can start to smell coil Also, I got a new camera tonight, a Sony Bloggie Touch. It's a 1080 video recorder that also does stills @12MP. I can't wait to try it out! Demos tomorrow IN HIGH DEFINITION, OH Yeah!!!! lowpt Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 couple of questions. Why did you add the ground to the alt? Do you have a pic of your power wire attached to the alt? My 1/0 terminals were too large so I snapped the plastic gaurd off , just curious how you did it.

My 1/0 terminals were too large so I snapped the plastic gaurd off , just curious how you did it. Well I had the same problem, so I just took the guard off, and replaced it with a plastic washer. It's not the best pic, but you can sorta see it. My alt has 2 runs of 0 gauge and the factory 4 gauge wire too! So yeah it was not going in the boot without some help! And the reason for adding the ground was to be better safe than sorry. I just wanted to be sure that the alt was getting a really good ground. Plus I noticed that MechMan requires you to add the ground with their alts, so I figured it must be for a reason. And btw I had previously told you I didn't see much difference from the LoadBoss and the stock alt, but I was wrong. Now that the 5K is in there, I can tell a difference. It's noticeable in my latest vids. Sorry man, I thought I was telling you the truth. This thing has just surprised me.
