Get stupid loud and take a lotta power and abuse, hell an install I did with a DC LVL4 15" the customer cranked the gain on his T1500-1 all the way up after leaving and smoked the amp and the sub read perfect on the coils. They build a strong product that's also reliable. That said, JL and RF have the ability to throw more money into R&D of their products than DC or Fi or AA simply because they are larger. Personally I do not hate JL woofers, I accept them for what they are, they're designed to be pretty fool-proof you throw the recommended power at them and can put them in a pre-fab or quick easy box and they'll play reasonably well. I think they are way overpriced but they are awesome subs and their amps are also nice. Flowtester92 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 15, 2011 Welp.. Box size isnt too much a problem as they will be going into a 1980 blazer. Seeing as how the majority has been to go for JL, I could lean towards them.. Unless someone else could recommend a better set up for around 600 bucks.
