m1dg3thunt3r Posted March 16, 2011 Report Share Posted March 16, 2011 im gonna be upgrading my alpine amp to an audioque 2200d running 2 type r's at 2 ohms, will be upgrading to 0awg and will be buying a Kinetik HC2400. will that be enough to power this amp or will i also have to do the big 3. car has 120 amp alt. in it stock and i dont wanna get a new one. also, where is the best place to buy 0awg wire? any idea what i should get if running .5ohms instead? You still may need a alternator, but at least do the big 3 and the upgraded battery. For running .5ohm, i would suggest a h.o. altenator . m1dg3thunt3r Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 16, 2011 he told me that running at 2 ohms w battery, 0awg leads and at least 2 of 3 big 3 would be ok to run. trying not to have to do all big 3 because alternator is located under the engine in the front, and is near impossible to work on w/o removing front end of car, thanks vw...
