dzld231 Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Going to build my box in the next week. Looking for the easiest way to do terminals thru the back of my box. Was going to use a bolt thru the back, but I dont have rings on the end of my wire. What is the easiest/best way to make terminals?

Go to radioshit (i can say that since i used to work there lol) and get their higher end speaker connection terminals and put them on the side, back, or wherever you want to on your box and then run them but i dont really recommend this for higher power setups. 2.) Get a drill bit that is the exact size of your wire you plan to use and drill it through the box or something and then run the wire through it. I did this to my box i had my solox 12 in and i had 8ga wire for the speaker wire and i used a smaller bit (dont remember the size) but i drilled that through the box and then put a little bit of hand-soap on the wire to help push it through the hole and it was a very tight fit and didnt make any noise when you hit the bass. 3,) Go ghetto and if you have a port you can run them along the side/corner of your box and use wire clips to hold them down to prevent you from hearing them slap inside the box and take it out of the port but that looks like crap if you ask me. 4.) GO WIRELESS!!! jk lmfao. edit: forgot to mention that you can just use bolts. dzld231 Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 Yea, I dont want to run regular teminal connect cuz I heard they leak air around them... So I was thinking either getting ring terminals or doing the wire thru the box... Looking for suggestions and opinions.

IDK about the quality of them since you can bend them very easily since the metal is soft on the rings but it does conduct very well for what i need it to do.
