firstkingofbeer Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 so ive gotten multiple different answers on how to do my electrical for the 2400wrms. ive done the big 3 in all 1/0 as well as ran two lines of 1/0 from the front to rear of my car for pos and neg to the front bat and soon to be rear bat. i have a stock alt of 110amps, and i would like to eventually get a h/o alt but all i can find is 1 180amp alt from a company ive never heard of. with what i got now would i be good? i called xs power and they recommended me running a d5100r up front and something larger in back. now here is where it gets interesting ive had several shops tell me i needed a second bat, and several say i didnt and ill be fine just upgrading my starting bat. ive read on several forums some people say that you dont really need a h/o unless your running over 3000wrms. im trying to do this the correct way and not all ghetto rigged and this is the first time ive decided to go big with a system. thanks for all your help! oh this system is going in a 2010 scion xD running 4 kicker 12" L5 4ohm subs with a Power Acoustik OVN1-5500D. if you need anymore info just let me know and thanks again!

NOPE LOL. email DC power and Extreme amperage, they will quote you a decent price for a decent alternator. Amps dont draw current from batteries, they draw current from the alternator/s. oops, didnt read. yeah, email dc or EA, and that amp only does 800 watts by the way, sorry to shit on your parade. im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. Pioneer 6.5" and 5.25"s temp. until i can afford the new crescendos. Pioneer 6000ub Reciever NO amps at the moment. SA-15 on 1kw coming soon. MSG Me for a free enclosure design!!
