iKidwell Posted March 26, 2011 Report Share Posted March 26, 2011 I'm gonna go ahead and throw out my bandwagon and say a level 4 with level 5 softparts...2 of my level 3's got louder than 2 3512's off similar power (probably 400w) less on the level 3's..but enclosure is everything..that 3515 and AQ will want a bigger box unless you use more power. My DD3515 is rated to handle 1200wrms, but I've heard from many people that it's safe to run 2000wrms or less to it. If you want to get the most out of your subwoofer, wouldn't you give it the needed power? From what I've been reading about the Aq HDC315, it can handle about 2000w nicely, and want's more. So if you were only giving it 1000w, you are only getting 1/2 of what your sub can actually put out... Quote Bassless once again. But if you don't fell comfortable running more than it's rated for, that's fine mate It's your system, do what makes you happy. It's going to slam either way! Quote Bassless once again.
