Supercharged DCs Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Building my box right now, it's roughly 4.69ft^3 tuned to 35hz or so (hopefully lol ) I'm trying to think of a good amp to run the DD3515 I'll be putting in it. I've considered the AQ1200, but I want more power than that if I can get. My budget for the amp is $300. My electrical is all stock, 117A alt I believe. I've ran a Kicker zx1200.1 before, so I know my electrical can handle 1200w at least... I also plan to do the Big 3, can someone link me to some decent quality cheap 1/0gauge wire with the terminals already on them perhaps? I don't know how to solder... Also, I'm assuming I should use 1/0gauge for the amp as well, right? How much would I need? Anything else I haven't mentioned but you believe I should know, please post it I know I have lot's of questions, but I'm trying to learn lol Thanks guys! Bassless once again. 01 S-10 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 From personal experience I'd say something between 1500-2000 watts. May be if you could find a Sundown 1500d in that price range or an Audioque 2200d. Should be able to find one used for 300 TDH FTW !!!

I honestly wouldn't recommend that kit for the power your running/will be running. Might as well do 1/0 gauge now so your not spending more money later to upgrade. Save up a little extra and do it right the first time or you'll end spending money you didn't have to in the first place TDH FTW !!!

I'm tired of my crappy KickerCVR12 on 300w lol, I want some more bass And I wouldn't know how to fix it mate, I have no experience with that kinds of stuff. Bassless once again.
