illiniboy17
you can get 300 amp fuses for 1.50 - 2 dollars a piece, plus they rarely blow, if your blowing fuses you really should have another run of wire anyways they rarely blow because most people arent sending 300 amps of current through their wires, so in theory you have too big of a fuse, so really you could fuck something up without the fuse even popping at all Quote Car: 1995 Thunderbird System: Pioneer deh5100ub HU Pioneer/Lightning Audio 5x7's 1 Hifonics 1610D amp 2 Obsidian Audio 12's 4cu.ft. box tuned to 30hz 8 farad Boss Audio cap 4 gauge power/ground wire Youtube Facebook

If your power wire grounds itself then it can get hot enough to start something on fire, that's what the fuses is there to stop. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Purplehaze
I used circuit breakers instead of fuses. Like someone else said, if everything is right, and your not constantly flipping it back on, then they work fine. Houses use them, and w/ a lot more current than is in our cars. Sure they can f*ck up, but so can a fuse. If they were THAT dangerous, everyone would still have fuse boxes in their house. And yes, houses AND cars have burnt b/c of breakers. But they have also burnt b/c of fuses, too. My opinion is, if you do it right, either one will work fine. It's more a matter of what you want. BTW - pm me if your still looking at them, I have 2 extra 200a Stinger cb's I'll let go pretty cheap, and they are still brand new in the box.
