Loudcivic Posted May 2, 2011 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 la negra if you look at the pcm at the top it says field duty cycle signal and thats the gray wire. that should be your sense wire. ami needs to come back in and confirn since he was talking about the alt being in full field mode. imnotloud that is probably your sense wire with no voltage but i cant confirm it. 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon... fecupe2001 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 fecupe i need a picture of your alternator wiring. i believe this is the right one but not 100 percent sure. if it is then it should be easy white/black wire is your sense wire and it just loops back into the alt the wire that is inside the yellow is the sense wire for a ford 3g alternator. i believe your alternator is the same and the diode should go between the 3 wire harness and were it plugs back into the alternator. this one is different so im not totally sure how the ford alternators work. remember your doing this mod at your own risk of screwing up your car let me know and take a pic if you can. im just tryin to help if i can. it may work it may not also fecupe can you take a picture of your alternator for me Man, i didn´t see this posts before, thanks a lot!! Loudcivic Posted May 2, 2011 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 if your plugs and the wires for the alt are the same as your stock alt wires you could try and put the stock alt back on to test this so you dont screw up your mechman alt if something did go wrong. then put the mechman back in if you were successful with the mod and voltage is good 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon...
