Cardboardcat15
How much of an improvement do you all think I will see with switching from this Red Top to an XS Power D1200? I'll be buying my alt very soon, and I want to upgrade the battery along with it. The negative post on my current batt is bent and pretty loose, so I'm not too sure how well it's holding it's charge AND I hate working with traditional battery posts. I was thinking about just going with a 3400, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit it under the hood, and I might not have the funds to purchase that batt + shipping. (Gotta buy books) The most that will be run off this batt is an AP1500 and maybe a 4 channel sometime in the near future, and if I ever add more power I'll just add a battery in the back. Thoughts? speedball1978
a d1200 should work perfectly if you plan on upgrading your alternator, the ap1500 only requires about 100 to 150 amps of current so if you upgraded your alternator first you won't have to upgrade your stock battery... but upgrading both would be your best option
8000watts
When I was driving my camry, I had dimming lights at full tilt. The 1200 actually stopped it and (this could be all in my head from excitement) make the system sound better altogether. This was about 1200rms with stock alt

Thats the only reason im upping the batt because neg terminal is really loose. My Channel on YouTube.
