RooTxBeeR Posted April 6, 2011 Report Share Posted April 6, 2011 Well, I have 4 towers in my room, 2 are Sansui towers with a 15" subwoofer and 3" and 2" mid highs, the others are Kenwood towers containing a 12" subwoofer and 3" mid with old computer speakers as the 1" highs, I wanted to build a new box for the kenwood towers. Anyone have any experience with home theatre box set-ups? MACnonsence6 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Share Posted April 8, 2011 post pics of the kenwood towers. are refering to the woofers as suwboofers? or did u actually replace the woofers. and yes there is a differnce. if there the stock woofers building another box is rather silly becouse those speakers are ment to be in those boxes. they along with the crossovers are build to work with that box so i dont think you can build something that will make them sound better. could be wrong but just my 2 cents and why are you wanting to build a new box for them? RooTxBeeR Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2011 Main reason, I cut some wholes in the box to put a 6x9 in top, but now I put my 6x9's back into my car, so I have little 1" speakers tapped to the whole, and on songs it rattles like crazy so I know it reduced the bass. Thats the other thing I was interesting in, for people who make custom boxes and shit for home audio, how do they crossover the the signal?
