Big_Mike
Which would you prefer to use when putting a box together? I know people that used both but I'm about to build my box soon and wanted to know which will be better or better as in will hold together and won't fall apart. illiniboy17
wood glue (Titebond II) thats what i used for my box, strong as a bitch liquid nails is garbage for putting together boxes Quote Car: 1995 Thunderbird System: Pioneer deh5100ub HU Pioneer/Lightning Audio 5x7's 1 Hifonics 1610D amp 2 Obsidian Audio 12's 4cu.ft. box tuned to 30hz 8 farad Boss Audio cap 4 gauge power/ground wire Youtube Facebook
memphisBred
If your cuts are right, wood glue and screws will be all you need. The screws will hold the box together until the glue fully dries. Use silicone on the edges if it's bothering you that much, or if you have gaps and don't have clean, straight cuts. cc_audio
Use wood glue, liquid nails is messy and useless. Liquid nails is not very strong either when used with MDF, however I have used it in walls frequently. That's about the only time I've absolutely had to use liquid nails. Titebond II is all I ever seem to use anymore. I have two small bottles I just keep refilling from a 5 gallon bucket I got online. And you only need silicone if your not very confident in your cuts. A well built box should never need silicone. Quote It's all gone! The Celica Build Feedback If I buy something from you, DO NOT USE FEDEX!
