Azagtoth502
Wiki is our friend "The total harmonic distortion, or THD, of a signal is a measurement of the harmonic distortion present and is defined as the ratio of the sum of the powers of all harmonic components to the power of the fundamental frequency. Lesser THD allows the components in a loudspeaker, amplifier or microphone or other equipment to produce a more accurate reproduction by reducing harmonics added by electronics and audio media. A THD rating < 1% is considered to be in high-fidelity and inaudible to the human ear." Basically the lower, the cleaner a signal. Kevin
You want that number to be as low as possible for the amplifier connected to your subwoofer. Edited April 16, 2011 by Kevin
korey_hofer
most d class amps are rated at 1% thd because it's harder to hear through a subwoofer. you def want it low as possible on your front stage mine is rated at .005% ftw Quote previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme.
