Why would people want this over your current products?

The first run of SPL tiles were a limited run if I remember correctly. Everyone who got their hands on them loved the product.

The tiles are kind of geared more towards the SPL freaks (hints the name SPL tiles) in that you are not going to need layers upon layers upon layers of sound deadener to reduce, stop, and prevent flex. Less material = more money savings.

They are pre-cut to a smaller, more user friendly size for easier and faster installs.

And of course they will be as effective, if not more so, than any of the Second Skin products. Why go backwards when you can go forwards? :D

So to summarize:

Faster and easier installs with less time cutting.

Fewer layers of material required for you SPL nut jobs.

Competitively priced.

how many sq ft would be in a bundle?

I haven't heard anything as to how many will be bundled per pack as we are still trying to gauge if there is any interest in such a product.

But if they are going to be sold like the previous SPL tiles, they will be sold singularly as well as 10, 20, 30, and 40 sq. ft. packs, priced accordingly.

from a personal stand point yes. I loved the spl tiles for certain areas in my car and i might buy some if i ever did any more personal sound dampening (idk where i could)

from a shop stand point i dont think we would ever order it

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

So it's like for smaller spaces like a door skin as opposed to a trunk lid or spare wheel well where you can use a whole sheet with no problem. I have a whole box of dp inmy basement that I planned to use on my door panels. I did like 1/4 sheet and gave up lol.

LOL, 1/4 sheet and you gave up? Man... I've shoved whole sheets into doors. Takes some work though.

Best thing to do is cut a sheet into into 2"-3" wide strips.

And the tiles are not just for smaller areas, you can tile your whole roof with them:

Or any other area. The smaller size just makes overall installation easier.

well once i know what kind of price range its in then i can vote...

otherwise 100 sq ft fatmat for 125 bucks sounds good

downside is its on one long roll = more cutting

but if the tiles are cut to lets say 12 in by 12 in squares.. hell ya i'm in, would make installation a damn breeze

Well it's really because of the bracing in the door panel, wires connected to the outerskin, and time. I did 2-3 layers on my roof but I only have about 2 7" holes I can fit my hand in. I'll tackle the task another time.
