New System Design: Slammin' 1992 Camaro Z28

Woohoo, I've been a long time lurker here, but this is my first post. It's been about 14 years since I've built a serious system. I've got the itch again. I've done quite a bit of research over the last several months. I even took a trip down to the Spring Break Nationals in Daytona Beach to get some ideas and hear some demo's. I had a blast at SBN and will definitely be going back next year. A lot has changed in 14 years, so there's lots of stuff to learn.

Anyway, I'm looking for any feedback I can get on the equipment list I've put together. Right now, I'm searching high and low looking for a 1992 (or 1991) Camaro Z28 to do the build in. My goal is to build a Ground Pounder that hits hard while maintaining a decent sound quality. I plan on driving the car on weekends and maybe to work on nice days during the summer. The Camaro will present some interesting challenges to overcome, but I'm up to the challenge.

Here's the list of equipment I've put together so far. I've been saving for two years, so I have the cash now to do it. I'm looking for any feedback anyone is willing to share. The amps may be a little overkill, but I'd rather run them conservatively than to be maxed out on smaller amps.

2 RE 12'' XXX (2 ohm) (custom MDF & Fiberglass box in the rear "well" area. I plan on running them sealed in about 1.35 Cubic Feet each (including driver displacement)

1 pair dash speakers (unknown at this time, original speaker size is 4x6, but I plan on using 5'' or larger components if I can squeeze them in)

3 pair Hertz HSK 165 XL - Hertz 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers (2 pair in the doors and 1 pair in the kick)

4 8'' Midbass Driver (unknown brand/model. It will heavily depend on the physical space I have. I may only be able to fit 2)

2 Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bdcp (1 per XXX 12)

1 Rockford Fosgate T1500.1bdcp (for midbass drivers) (a T1000.1bdcp will work, but it's not much more $ for a T1500.1bdcp)

3 Rockford Fosgate T600-4 (mids/highs amp. I want lots channels and options since I'll be using the 3sixty.3)

Unknown Head Unit at this time

100 feet of Speaker Wire

50 feet of RED 1/0 Trystar Welding Cable (on ebay from coppercableman)

50 feet of Black 1/0 Trystar Welding Cable (on ebay from coppercableman)

Miscellanious fuse holders and lugs

1 XS Power D1200 Battery (Primary)

1 XS Power D3100 Battery (Secondary)

2 Iraggi 380Amp Alternators (Will these will work OK in a daily driver? I hope I can fit two under the hood)

160sf Damplifier Pro

90sf Luxery Liner

1 Clarion EQS746 EQ/Preamp

1 Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 Sound Processor

1 Audio Control Epicenter (Not sure if I'm really going to use this or not)

1 Viper 5902 Alarm

1 Tablet PC for Media Player / Touchscreen (Apple, Motorola or Samsung)

The first picture will be of the car when I find the right one. I'm looking for a fairly decent Z28. I'm looking for a Black or Blue one. I have my eye on one in Ohio and may go take a look at it next weekend if all pans out. Once I get the car, the equipment will start flowing in. I don't feel comfortable ordering the equipment until I can take measurements etc, etc.

yeah you can git 2 irragis to fit. use the stock alt location on it now and swap the right side bracket out for one from an astro van of the same year. alt is on the right in astros. u got 2 alt locations then. doin the same thing in my astro but in the reverse. im using the camaro bracket on my left side

Can I do this and still keep the AC Compressor? Is there anything that'll need to be ripped out to fit two? Also, is the factory alternator on a 92 camaro a large case or small case?

I would use a pound of polly fill in each sealed box as well

I'd go with DC power or Mechman over Iraggi but that's just me. Everything else looks good.
