What should I request prior to purchasing? Things like a reading with DMM? If so what should it be reading?? C-Fizzy Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 That's a great deal. Ask for pics of resting voltage. A great battery should read between 12.6-12.9 under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?

fecupe2001 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 My hc1800 rest around 12.8v , as fizzy said , over 12.5v should be ok, i love mi kinetiks , i know XS power is a better battery but also a lot more expensive!! Oh by the way, best friend´s car has a single Hc2000 with a DD m2 and big3 and he doesn´t drop below 12.5v , just saying I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Look at my sig, whats your best guess as to where my voltage would sit at? No big three at the time as I have removed those wires due to complications. Also, I plan to add a 2k amp and probably a 400 watt 4 channel. fecupe2001 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Well, it really depends on your alternator man, i mean, it´s a 18 years old car, have you measured what´s your current without cranking the system?? my 99 explorer´s alternator was charing at 13.1v , i knew i needed to change that ASAP and that´s what i did, on the other hand, the car i mentioned before it´s from 2005 and it was charging very nice, we only did the big3 and that was pretty much it. Once again, i would say that depends on the shape of your alternator, if it´s working properly you should be ok with a hc2400 and big3, GET THE BIG3!!!
