trjohnst Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Ok so I have 2 JL 500/1 slash amps and 1 is pushing a good bit more power than the other. I dont want to go get it benched cause I dont want to spend the money. I have messed with the bias pot on the one that has more power but I put it back to its original position, or so I think. What would cause one to be noticeably different in power and how could I change this? I know I need to read my output with a digimeter and test some things. If I had to do that, what would I check. Or im confused becuase your testing volts and im getting one amp is pushing the sub harder than the other sub LOL thats what im inferring You know how you avoid that? AMI CUSTOMS Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Depends on many things to get to the actual why it is doing what it is doing, but the input sens is what you are setting, that is the Gain, you need a voltage meter and the chart that is in the owners manual because that is a regulated output amp. Are the amps the same age? What is your electrical like, were are both amps grounded, are you using caps, extra batteries, where are those grounded, what type of box, what type of vehicle?
