RickyFriery97 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Share Posted May 11, 2011 didnt read the posts but your going to need a data retention harness which will cost 100-130$ if i remember right , reason is because of the information that is saved with your stock headunit it still needs to have that box. . without that box your check engine light might come on or something stupid may happen . Posted May 11, 2011 Report Share Posted May 11, 2011 i heard that for the 09 silverado you need a special wiring harness for the onstar, is this true? and if so what wiring harness would it be and where would i get it? cause there are a couple different ones but idk which one is the right one are you going to use the OnStar? if not you can get a cheaper interface.
