anthonyott99
Is it possible to mount just the internals of a small 100 watt amp in my glove box ?? there will be nothing else in the glove box with it other than a small fan. Would it be safe , regardless of would it be smart, just would it be safe too ? It should work just fine. ----A horrible pic, but you get the idea !! I always like to do something a little different and since this is such a small amp especially disassembled, i thought it would look awesome mounting just the internals since it all comes apart well and i would have the fan on it and maybe so some cool lighting to showcase it when you open the glove box !! bumonskateboard6
I mean yeah it'd work...but that's like saying why don't I just set my motherboard on my desk... I'd keep it in the case and maybe put a plexi back on it but that's just me Quote Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?
jconnway
haha props for being original... but you'd lose your glovebox and the amp would be really really fragile in there... ch0sen
idk for sure but an amp that small is like whats in a headunit almost, with the fan blowing hot exhaust air out of the glove box it would prb do fine, hook it up and make sure you keep an eye on the temps Quote My current 95 Jetta Build w/ pioneer h/u 2 RD Sonance 10's with flatwind coils 2 Audiopipe apsm 1500.1s 1 Hifonics Brutus Elite 60x4 1 XS d925 1 Stinger spv35 1 1000 amp lead acid 50 ft of 0/1 ofc from Audiotechnix all powerbass components, and coaxils, 4 sets buildlog = http://www.stevemead...2-rd-10s-build/ My build for my wife. http://www.stevemead...01-f-150-build/
ch0sen
depending on how hot it gets i would do what bumonskateboard6 gave me the idea of, make a lil case outta plexi on top if you really wanna see it Quote My current 95 Jetta Build w/ pioneer h/u 2 RD Sonance 10's with flatwind coils 2 Audiopipe apsm 1500.1s 1 Hifonics Brutus Elite 60x4 1 XS d925 1 Stinger spv35 1 1000 amp lead acid 50 ft of 0/1 ofc from Audiotechnix all powerbass components, and coaxils, 4 sets buildlog = http://www.stevemead...2-rd-10s-build/ My build for my wife. http://www.stevemead...01-f-150-build/

anthonyott99
I dont use the glove box anyway so thats not a consideration , and it would actually get some cool air if i mount the fan just right so it pulls cabin air from the back side of the glove box when it is closed. Thanks guys !! Monergist
It'll be fine. The only place manuals usually specify not to install amplifiers is under the hood. You could think of your install as being similar to a CPU; it'll have a shell and a fan and you'll have to clean the dust off it every 6 months or so.
