Cuseikan
I'm putting in a second alt, Just for system purposes. And i'm going to put my stock alt back in. The second alt(300amp Iragi) Is going to be ran to two yellow tops. Am I going to need to fuse the wire that runs from my alt to my batts postive, it's going to be at least 3 or 4 runs of 1/0awg. And am I going to need to fuse the runs going from my batts to my amps? They're only going to be 1' to 3' away from my amps.
ChevyBoy
i would fuse between the alternator and battery. u dont have to fuse between ur battery and ur amp only because of the internal fusing (i hope u have) in the amp. doesnt hurt though. you should also fuse between batteries otherwise the wire could catch fire due to a short. andym85
i fused between the alt and batt, and from the batt to amp...better safe than sorry and on fire or melted. plus if you compete, fusing is usually required... Cuseikan
Then do I have to put a fuse on every run from the alt to the batts? 4 300 amp fuses is alot. And do I fuse close to the alt?
