So i need some help with a box. Ive never built a box before. I have a DC XL 18 off a Crescendo 3k at .7ohm. Sub will be up and port back. So what i have to work with is 49"w.16"h. 20"d. I still need to be able to use some of the cargo area for strollers and diaper bags ( 2 year old and a newborn at home). This obviously will be in my daily driver. I used torres box calculator to start with, but really need help with the port. How do you determine how much port length to use and which type? Do you use aero's, slot,etc.... I will use a double baffle and likely 1" dowels for bracing. Any input would help. Would like to get this done in the next week or two ( meca coming up and would like to see what it does ) Just some info, i listen to all types of music except country, but mostly Rap.

You are gonna use the height, width and length boxes for the port. You want to build a slot and not aero so stay away from the other 2 boxes.

The port is going to have to turn along the back wall of the box.

x2. the port would need to bend & be 6" away from the back wall of the box, since its a 6" wide port.
