Sounds pretty interesting and something i would want to look into considering I'm only going to be running 1 SA-12 on 350 rms. They look really hard to build and I've never even built a sealed box, is there a calculator i could use to get dimensions for it?

Good luck with 350rms...i just ordered two and i was told they want at least 600rms. Cuz word is that they can handle more...

They can handle more but the noob telling you need more watts is stupid.

You dont need 600w.

350will be 'loud' too.

You dont have to overpower.

Thinking is the root of all problems...

You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

if you do the big 3 in 1/0 and upgrade the batt under the hood you should be good to go with no issues. :good:

edit: im sure you can get away with just doing the Big 3 as well. but only if you set your gains correctly and watch your voltage. but i would recomend a new battery under the hood. the xsd3400 is a great battery and its not too expensive.

what brand of wire would u guys recommend?

knukonceptz.com has pretty good pricing.

try to buy 1/0 the KCA wire would be good enough for your set up. its 87$ for 50' of wire

Edit: they also have the Kollossus wire which is pretty cheap as well and its 100% copper

but if you want 100% copper you can get stinger, shok industries, or tsunami.

for stinger try darvex.com

for shok industries try mechman.com

and i cant think of any tsunami stuff off hand.

is 100% copper the best?

yeah but its also way more expensive.

with your set up youll be fine with copper clad aluminum

seems like it would be worth dumping that extra dollar into the big 3 considering it would keep my car safe. But as for amp wires would i be okay running 4 gauge to the aq1200 and the aq4x90, or would i be experiencing major voltage drops and things like this?

true. u dont need 2x the rated power to get loud. 4th orders are very efficient. :good:
