Blackedout
when tweeters make a sound like there is someone riping paper does that mean it's blown? More than likely. You running a crossover on the tweeter? If so, its blown.. If not lower frequencies that they can't handle will fuck them up too. Guest
you wired the tweeters directly to the speaker leads off the headunit?? makos if you did this then you blew the tweeters. you have to wire them to the crossover just like you do with the mid bass speaker. Guest
You need the crossover makos. You can't wire them safely without it. You most likely blew them. They come with for a reason. Edited April 29, 2011 by Kranny
Azagtoth502
What tweeters are they exactly? Some have built in crossovers. But yes like everyone said , it sounds like you may have blown them. kirill007
You fix them by buying new ones. There is no way to fix it. Next time do not forget to use the crossover. Only time where you don't have to use crossovers if you use a amp that has built in crossovers that you have to set manually. Quote Thinking is the root of all problems...
