ss nw any suggestions would be nice

Recommended Posts

I just gutted everything in my van and i am ready to start a new box for super street no wall. 2 level 5 18s on 2 vfl 500.1s and 2 ho alts with plenty of batteries. material for new box is sheets of 1 1/2" thick mdf front of box will be 4 1/2" thick. top and bottom sides will have to be 3" thick in order to keep 18" subs below the window line which in my van is 26" i am starting the box at 19CF and will reduce down by adding to the rear wall until I hit the peak on the term lab. so this is going to be my first time in no wall. I dont think I have room for a cage or do I? With my front wall being 4 1/2" thick I already have decent depth for a tune in the forties. a question on that is if my van peaks at 45hz then do i build the box to around 39hz?

Ive seen 15's always louder in nw

Peak at 45.. Tune to 45.

do it just how everyone else does.

There is a reason they all look the same.

no body modifactions in ss nw so where would the cage be inside the box?

good point. i need to look at that i thought it was no mods in front of B pillar.

the cage would be around the box, if your van peaks at 45Hz is that with the no wall box or when it had a wall?

it was 45 with out the wall and then 44 with the wall. i had read that you tune the box lower than the resonant frequency of the vehicle instead of at the frequency.

as far as i know it's nothing in front of the b pillar or above the window line.
