Recommended Posts

just was asking sheesh.

Sorry man, there is just a lot of Kicker haters here sometimes. Derick doesn't need to hear anymore about it, he has heard enough.

But yeah I'm sorry if I was rude, it wasn't intentional. :drinks:

bull it was too :)

I was right haha lol jk. I honestly had the same question but I figured he was a fan and getting a good discount

ENJOY :D Worked on it one day, I am having some issues, I am getting a burning smell from the 3 crossovers on the left, the amp got a bit warm for having no speakers on it on the left (Left side mid amp), also the tweeters are feeding lots of alt noise out, so I have to check grounds at the headunit I am guess :3 ? Also I need to vacuum all the leaves out, would have worked on it thrusday, but my friend got his computer parts in, so I built his computer for him :D a $1500 gaming rig, its awesome

A BIt messy, trying to get things figured out with the amps and wiring

The 3rd computer I have built, and the 4th I have picked the parts for :P

looks good man, are the RCAs strait from the HU? jumped from another amp? check all your speaker leads and make sure they all read correctly i.e. making sure they're not grounding out or have improper ohm readings

from what I can see so far and tell, its from the left mid amp, something between there and the crossovers, the crossovers worked fine with just the tweeter amp on and going, so im not sure, ill have to check it out, the rcas go to a 30 band eq, then go to a 3 way crossover, then to the amps :P

Alright, fiberglassed another door, for the rear right, it turned out nice, still have lots of work to do on it, but overall not bad for my second door, the hardest part for me is finishing the doors, as I havn't done any of that so far, also the door allows the door to shut, but you have to like slam it, otherwise its a tab to big, so thats not good, not sure what to do there

Also got my dash kit covered in the carbon di-noc viynl, looks way better in person, in person it looks really cool, but in the pic its kinda blurry, enjoy :D

If anyone wants to help me or suggest some things to help go ahead, im new to this, the edges are kinda hard to do, gotta add a bit more fiberglass on this door as there are a few spots that it s a bit weak

Also got my legs all stabbed with fiberglass, hurts like a bitch

Nice glass work. On my doors my pods made the door hard to close until I decided just to chop off most of the part that gets "pinched" between the door panel and trim/rubber in the car. It turned out not to be necessary for strength or cosmetics at all, it just added weight. That might be your issue here. My rule of thumb was that the pod should be removable or at least movable with the door closed (of course without yet bolting it in).

Also how many layers of mat are you using and what weight (.75, 1.5, 2?)

thanks man, not sure on the weight, ill find out later, that seems to be what is causing it hard to shut, but im not sure if im gonna chop it off for that

OMG, I got my 2500.1 in, and it looks badasss!!!! Im so excited, subs sound awesome, nice and tight sounding, defiantly is going to be nice once I get the doors done!! Overall I have it all done back there, I am going to do some more lighting for the back, so that it looks awesome, have leds mounted so it shines down on the crossovers and the battery, all red, hidden and its on the amp which looks like it is floating above everything, like a show peice!! Its bolted so tight in there, I had to mount to the box, but I dont think it will be an issue, I can lift my car up with the amp its so tightly bolted on, no one will be able to steal any of this shit!! Unlike Last time when they almost got this amp., also some bad news, my 1500.1 died a week ago, just didnt turn on the next time I started the car, I can hear the relay click, but nothing comes on, no lights, no voltage from the terminals, it is definalty eating power though, when I put the 12v main lead in it starts pulling and sparks a bit, which is normal, but it acts like its drawing a lot, idk, wanna get it fixed though, its like a back up amp,

The only way to get the 2500.1 out is to remove the subs, and unbolt it from the inside, which would easily take you about 25 minutes or more if you know what your doing. Anyways, I will get pics on later :D

Also removed my intake resonator, gives my car an awesome growling sound and opens air flow, also had a wideband o2 sensor go out, so bought another one of those, 130 bucks, and that was cheap compared to dealers, for $400, got new spark plugs coming, and new brakes, went DBA Standard Series rotors w/ Hawk HPS Pads, will be a nice upgrade for my brakes. Anyways, gotta write a paper, will upload some videos of everything later, tethered on my droid, so cant upload much now
