dereileak
What would you guys think if I did 1 18" level5 in this car vs 2 12" level4, tell me what you think, I think that would be insane, and the recommened box size is 6 cubic ft for the 18, or 3 cubic ft for both 12" so that is exactly what im looking for, the cabin space in this car is tiny, so it would be loud and clean as hell, but that would have to be a big box, still thinking 2 12"s most likely 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
Purplehaze
I'd do the 12's, they just sound so good, and dig so deep... What about 2 XL 12's? That would be pretty sic in this car... So would level 4's though. But I would do 12's, you will be louder and sound better IMO Kickin' Cruiser Seller Feedback Stage 3 Dash, Door Panels,4th Order wall 4 - 15'son a DC 5.0K 2 DC 5.0K'sSolo X 15 (v.2) Sub Build

dereileak
POST #888!! UPDATE**** 6/25/12 Havnt updated in awhile, have been doing things over the last few months, mainly a few things, finsihed up the cover for the amps, got the xs intellecharger mounted and setup today, so the back is close to done, besides the sub amp, box, subs, and some more lighting. Fans blow right into the crossovers and creates positive pressure in where the amps are, pushing out air wherever there are seams or gaps, pushing hot air out hopefully Best Part is that the cord for the XS Intellecharger comes out the back by the rear bumper under the car, so I just plug my car in and forget it, almost like a hybrid, but for tunes and bass, will have my batteries floating every night now !!!!!! VIDEO: Started the Mounting of the Intellecharger, here is the process, took all day counting breaks and stuff, that is the old spot for the car jack, will now be used for this awesome charger , thinking about a red voltage meter too, but the one up front reads the rear battery anyways, maybe I should do another one upfront that does the front battery? Sick of this ugly hole, so I did something about it Pictures make things look so easy, but that was the second cut out, takes trial and error, ha ha, and time wrote out so I knew what side to sand and round the edges on, and the other side would stay with 90 degree edges sanded the edges that face the outside so they were nice and round, then carpeted it Mounted this piece of MDF to where the car jack used to go, drilled 2 new holes with nice big bolts, countersunk also, then carpeted a about 8 x 11 inch piece of mdf, again 1/2 inch, and mounted it on that, then the xs charger onto that, nice and solid and should hold for years to come Underside of the amp panel, that white shit was an attempt to use gorilla glue to glue on a led light strip, lets just say that failed, but didnt need light there anyways now 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
