Amerrricuh Posted May 7, 2011 Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 a fi bl 18 on a saz-1500 is going in here i just need someone to fill in the blanks so i can get this right, i want it tuned to 27hz. the box i have now is tuned to 41hz (just now finding out that i fucked up on the port :/....) so i want to tune nice and low with plenty of port area. ChevyBoy95 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) x2, it get a lot of port area along with low tuning needs a big box. just messed around with a bunch of numbers, there is no way you will get enough room for that 18, especially with 27hz tuning. and i didnt factor bracing or sub displacement. You need more room. ( i kept port sq to 14 per foot.) with no displacements, it was ~5.4 with 35hz tuning fyi. You're going to have a very small box when it's all said and done. its the same size as the box i have now. its the only way it will fit in my trunk without building the box inside the trunk.
