full size standard cab chevy box ideas

Recommended Posts

just bought a 92 chevy standard cab and I'm looking for ideas. (besides a blowthrough) I had a tahoe running a single 18 and was pretty happy with that setup.

I debated getting an extended cab but I just like the look of a standard cab shortbed more. I did figure that I could do a blowthrough if all else failed.

the truck has a bench but I'm planning on buckets so the center console is gonna be open. my thought was to make a sort of t shaped box to utilize all the space that I have available.

thoughts and ideas are welcome.

thx

If you're going to do buckets then put the 15 in the center mounted inverted and use all the area behind the seats for box volume.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

ReDDrum, Lol. You fail to mention that you have to be a dwarf to drive it........10" forward at the top ofthe back seat doesn't work in the real world. ;)

OP, depends on how much you can move the seat forward. Measure out your available airspace and decide. In those trucks I've done starting at 3-8's ported, seat all the way back to 4-8" or 2-10"'ported seat up a notch or two. It will depend on the depth of your woofer too.
