Pauliesnite93 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 i want to run four dc lvl4 15s off a dc 5k. i have one mech man 260 amp alt.1 run of 0/2 welding wire and two kinetik 2400. would this amp be to much for theses subs? 2 or 3 runs of 0/2 welding wire? and how many more kinetiks would i need to run? The 5k will not be too much, I would look into 4 more batteries if you plan on hard daily use. Just my view, let the experts decide. My advice is don't do it. You plan on feeding two 1,000rms subs 5,000. If you have to ask, you probably don't have the experience with running subs to their max thermal abilities. Pauliesnite93 Posted May 12, 2011 Author Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 yes i have no exp. im going to be 18 in a couple of months. but i half assly know what im doing. dose the clipping light work good on them? because i am pissed at the audiopipe because it has blown one of my subs because of the clipping. and i know its not the amps fault its mine but i like to put the blame on the amp.
