thetommantom Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 im hopefully getting 2 orion hcca 12s. i would love to run them at full 4000w total. what kind of alternator would i need, like specs and would i need the big 3? if i do or dont what are some good batteries? one more thing what gauge wire, 0AWG?

I ran a xs power s3400 and d3100 with a 270 amp mechman alt on a amp that was producing somewhere around 3000w rms at 2 ohms and it wouldnt have any voltage drop. The big-3 is a total must. Even if its a small system i always recommend doing the big-3.
