JMac91 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Alright.. so ive been getting weird whistling type sounds.. well idk how to explain it. usually right after I start my car.. I got rid of it at one point and it had nothing to do with my system.. but this time it sounds like its coming from the passenger side speaker or somewhere to the right of me.. I dont know. I can get more details in the morning. But thats not the only problem. Id like to get my deck up past volume 20 before my speakers start sounding like shit.. I have a stock amp for them, but I also have another I recently bought I havent put in yet. And no, I dont have factory speakers. Any suggestions? Ok.. so I checked well tried to I forgot to mention this doesnt happen everytime but when I got home I started to notice the noise and from what I can tell it seemed like the passenger side front and rear speakers is what the screeching noise was coming from. Supercharged DCs Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Engine whine perhaps, don't know anything bout it though... and try putting the new amp on the stock speakers and see how they sound. Only way to know if they are distorted or not is to test test test Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
94retta(219) Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Try cleaning your grounds for stuff. Also check if your speaker wire somewere is touching a power wire. Even plastic to plastic. As for the garbo sound. Bypass the stock put in the new amp and see. Could also be you have them out of phase. BUILD LOG

But it sounds closer.. and do u think the replacement amp would really give my hu a chance to go past 20? I mean that is why I bought the thing I just wanted to get opinions and find out the ways. I know my grounds should be good, I made sure to make them clean. And the wiring also should be fine because I did everything on my own.
