dohckiller808
could you see yourself spending $850-$950 on a lithium battery to replace a group 31 105ah battery? pros: half the size of a led group 31 1/4 the weight %99 charge after full discharge higher voltage after load double the cycle use than led deep cycle batts higher resting voltage 13.2-13.4 volts is it worth it? Well, Personally, I would do this. I'm not sure about others opinion. Quote common dll errors
audiofanaticz
If your talking about XS Power lithiums, then no! They are made for drag racing, where weight is critical as well as powerful batteries due to most drag cars not running alternators. The lithium batteries CAN NOT be used with an alternator (tho it is something XS is working on). The lithium batteries also must be charged with a special charger bought from XS and is also expensive.
BassJunkie
I've been keeping my eye on lithium batts mostly because of weight savings, but I doubt I'll be hopping in the lithium market until there's atleast some competition to drop prices a little. dohckiller808
im not talking about xs. if there was a lithium battery that can charge off an alt. no problem. you can use it as a starter replacement. is it worth it? audiofanaticz
whats the point of using it for a starter battery? kinda pointless to drop that kind of money on a battery. And Im pretty sure XS Power has this technology on lock down compaired to other companies if there are any (not something I really go looking for), but im sure the other lithiums wont run off a alt, and the XS batteries will be the first. and besides, why would you initially use a group 31 for a starter battery if its not being used for car audio at all like you just said. Pointless.
TeamHT
Worth it is something only you can decide, the way I see it. If its worth it to you, then there you go, its worth it. If you don't think its worth it, then its not. But I can say personally, it doesn't interest me, and for almost a grand a dual or triple alternator bracket and alternators would be my preferred route. audiofanaticz
nice post edit.... I like how you changed what you said. You are massively contradicting yourself, and you must of realized that because you edited it. I knew I should of quoted your text.. lmao

Pointless. im not saying to use it as a starter. just that it can. im just getting a feel for this. lets try to keep xs out of this i got it. you feel xs is god when it comes to batteries...
