Alternator question

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado I plan on running one DC Audio Level 5 18 with a 3.5k amp, 0g, I have an SVR yellowtop in the engine bay and plan on using one of the bigger C&D Technology batteries in the cab. This will be used as a daily system but my truck has a 145amp stock alt and I was wondering if that would be enough?? if not I was thinking on running two stock 145s or they also make a stock 160 for my truck. Opinions please.

One decent HO alt would be fine or a dual stock setup as well. If you can wait, Im selling a couple of DC Power alts next week. Adding a new set to my Silverado over the weekend. If yor going to add a HO alt like a DC XP-270 I would recommend running a minimum of 2 - 1/0 runs from the alt to the batteries.

$1,100 for an alt?!?! fuck that haha I spent $750 on my amp and thought that was expensive. But yeah i'll look into some HO alts.

just cuz it says that doesnt mean that its the quote that u will get lol. call them at the shop and see what they quote you if you dont like the price move down the line to mechman then if you like that price better get that. but over all i would suggest mechman simply because they are a partner here and dc power might take a few months to ship your alt out

For one that puts out 215 at idle...hell yes id pay that (if you only wanted to run a single alt). Would put out upwards of around 250 if run on a 16v system.
