SenorPeligro
Damn I can't do a flush mount in Sketchup to save my life. Any tips anyone?
412 CVX
essentially make two circles. the first one will be the cutout diameter the second will be the outer diameter of the sub offset the area inside the first circle (pull it down like you're cutting it out) raise the area around the outer circle 3/4" because this will be your second baffle. end result should look something like this (took all of 2 minutes, but who's counting ) Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. R3nOSlaPP
by adding a flush-mount baffle does it effect the integrity of the second baffle and the strength it provides? LUNATIK
On a completely unrelated sidenote, I can't stop laughing at Alex K's avatar. youre not the only one lol im curious to see what the enclosure specs would need to be for the t1 im puttin in my daily but its just a single 12,the enclosure you sketched up looks good but i have to agree flush mount looks badass Quote ROYAL DIAMONDS CAR CLUB "VICE PRESIDENT"90 ISUZU PICKUP "BLOOD BATH"XENON H.I.D. That was easy. Thanks.
nCOMP1337
by adding a flush-mount baffle does it effect the integrity of the second baffle and the strength it provides? besides looking nicer, i think it helps with the stability and strength of the baffle, with two layers on top of each other, there is less likelihood of baffle flex ive seen people double up on every piece of wood, not just baffle, but that is overkill id say unless your throwing a lot of power to it
SenorPeligro
New box design, still need to throw in the bracing and round some of the sharp edges. Working with it and the Torres calculator to get it just right. Edited June 2, 2011 by SenorPeligro
SenorPeligro
Gathering materials for this box tomorrow. Anyone see anything that stands out that I need to fix?
nCOMP1337
3 extra baffles? im sure the program assumes the first baffle, and it appears you only have 2 in this design, so where are the other 2 extra baffles
SenorPeligro
I suppose only two baffles then. That puts me at a net volume of 3.55 cubes, with an approx. tuning of 26 hz. Is there such a thing as tuning a box too low? Edited June 6, 2011 by SenorPeligro
