IH8PunkRok
say you have a head unit that has no sub out but has an output that has all frequencies coming out of it. is it bad for a sub amp to get all those frequencies? supposing the filters were set correctly and all -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
finkster
No. Just filter it. The amp isn't doing anything with the frequencies, they're filtered before amplified. Quiet
o_O what weird shit? I've seen LPF switches go bad. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
IH8PunkRok
it is switching back and forth between protect and not. i hooked it up to a different load and it still did it so i can assume the sub wasnt the issue. voltage isnt a problem. it isnt great but isnt sub 12s. it stays 13s normally im thinking some internals got rattled loose as it is mounted on the face of the box where the sub is -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
Quiet
I'd try to elminate possiblities by putting the amp on a bench connected only to a battery and the sub. If it doesn't do this out of the car, then the problem is in your electrical. If it does, I'd crack the case open and start looking for blown caps. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
