If you can't go any bigger on the port, you'll have to greatly decrease the size of your ported chamber. pics? I have no port noise btw. a little late on the response but here's my port for my 2 10's also very unlikely to get port noise at such a low frequency even with too small a port. If you still have the box apart try shrinking the ported chamber a bit. It will make your peak go up. But that doesn't always mean your score will go up, but it's worth a shot imo. In turn making it longer to keep tuning on this note, I've never actually considered the port to only be the thickness of the MDF. as the ends of the port are so close to other hard surfaces, the effective port length would be much longer than its actual length.
