How much space do you need to have between the magnet and and box. In my case I have level 2 12s

Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD

Rockford Fosgate T5001 bd-cp

2 DC level 2 12's

Focal Access Components in the front

Good question, I need to know too for my SMD box, I have just enough depth so that the mounting stud will have to rest on the back of the box...

It doesn't really matter.. As long as it fits and is not rubbing or being forced to fit i wouldn't worry about it.

My box for the SMD is going to be 15.75" deep so that the "stud" will rest on a "plate" attached to the back of the box. If I brace it like crazy will I be O.K.?

My box will also be 35" wide 17" high and 15.75" deep.

Your woofer can be against a wall no prob, you're in a different ball game and I have no idea why you're posting here.

When I design boxes for vented poles I always just try to keep them as far off as possible, but my truck's box has them 1 1/2" away from the wall.
