chrishova
Good question, I need to know too for my SMD box, I have just enough depth so that the mounting stud will have to rest on the back of the box... Alex K
It doesn't really matter.. As long as it fits and is not rubbing or being forced to fit i wouldn't worry about it. chrishova
My box for the SMD is going to be 15.75" deep so that the "stud" will rest on a "plate" attached to the back of the box. If I brace it like crazy will I be O.K.? My box will also be 35" wide 17" high and 15.75" deep. Quote Pontiac Grand Prix GT400a Mean Machine alt. Your woofer can be against a wall no prob, you're in a different ball game and I have no idea why you're posting here. When I design boxes for vented poles I always just try to keep them as far off as possible, but my truck's box has them 1 1/2" away from the wall.
