damn. thats a lot of burnt fets. ya, you can get it fixed. probably cost you around $200.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

would it be worth it to get it fixed? would it be 100% of what the original was or would it have problems?

Of course it's fixable.

Check out www.db-r.com

What exactly is it doing now that it exploded?

..never heard of an amp shorting due to a mix-up of probes..

I think it'd be worth it. The amp is worth $1799, so a $200 repair is definitely worth it.

how did you plug the meter into the amp wrong? what did you do? and im not 100% sure, but i think fosgate still uses their MEHSA technology on their amps and that technology is super difficult to fix.

it'll be 100%. if the power supply fets burn up, they usually just rebuild the entire power supply section of the board to make sure there are no problems.

db-r and zed audio repair amps. there are plenty of smaller places that do it if you want to search for them.

if you decide its not worth fixing, shoot me a pm. I'll take it off your hands. I'm trying to learn how to repair amps.

Don't go by anything anyone says as far as what something might cost to repair cause there may be hidden damage not seen but will need the proper equipment to test and the cost can vary wildly depending on whats wrong with it, now whats been said may be a ballpark figure but it's best to assume a worst case scenario in the event it really is that bad.

Well i was having problems getting good sound out of my subs so i asked for help and was doing what people suggested. So i checked the voltage to the amp and it was good. then i wanted to check the DC Offset and it was 0.00 but i didnt know if i had the positive plug on the DMM in the right spot. So i turned off the car, changed the positive on the DMM from the 10ADC to the V(resistance)mA slot and then turned the car power on and the popping went crazy.
