Checked out the pictures of tinting, looks like you got it down!

Wiring looks clean, though I agree having the wires overlap the other buss bar would be something that would stay in the back of my mind.

thanks!

i got the wiring's solved. it isn't good enough for me, but wil do for now.

i'm planning on making two big copper bars straight out from the terminals and buying big golden connector where i can hook my wires up or something, i gotta rethink and rethink it again so i can sleep my night whitout thinking about it.

so, rain stopped back to work.

110620112968%20%28Custom%29.jpg

power cable from my old car "rolla" was like 8foot too short, so i had to connect cutted pieces to it to add length.

110620112973%20%28Custom%29.jpg

copper crossed

110620112974%20%28Custom%29.jpg

smooth it out

110620112975%20%28Custom%29.jpg

burn some silver-lead on it and heat it up until it melts inside.

110620112976%20%28Custom%29.jpg

and tape it out.

110620112978%20%28Custom%29.jpg

this was the end result of today's thinking. not the best, but works.

110620112979%20%28Custom%29.jpg

negative side done.

2x 0AWG groundings to chassis

1x smaller cable straight from front battery's negative

6x 0AWG to the amp

110620112980%20%28Custom%29.jpg

positive side

1x 0AWG from front battery (trough 70A relay)

6x 0AWG to amp

110620112982%20%28Custom%29.jpg

battery all cabled up, looking nice!

110620112984%20%28Custom%29.jpg

hooked amp up and started the headunit.

nice!

110620112985%20%28Custom%29.jpg

wwwhoaaa :3

110620112986%20%28Custom%29.jpg

front battery engine off, power off

12,29V

width=360 height=480http://sata.pp.fi/Mrop/245volle/projektikuvat/2/110620112987%20%28Custom%29.jpg[/img]

same at the back 12,72V

width=360 height=480http://sata.pp.fi/Mrop/245volle/projektikuvat/2/110620112988%20%28Custom%29.jpg[/img]

engine off, power on (relay connects the batteies) 12,54V at back

110620112989%20%28Custom%29.jpg

and at front 12,42V

so back battery loads the front battery. good thing to have relay there, so back battery can stay at 12.7x all night whitout loading the front battery all the night

110620112990%20%28Custom%29.jpg

engine on 14.04V (28C in shadow, so its pretty frigin warm atm, VOLVO's are used to work in -30C not in hot days like this!)

110620112991%20%28Custom%29.jpg

back also 14.05V so it loads to the back also, nice.

110620112983%20%28Custom%29.jpg

Farboii is a 4ohm SVC sub

110620112993%20%28Custom%29.jpg

and i'll give 300w to it.

i did not want to put 50Hz on repeat and tease my neighbors while trying to measure the amperage with clamp meter.

so i used this formula. Volts = sqrt(ohm x power)

110620112994%20%28Custom%29.jpg

littlebit of vacuum and zippers.

110620112998%20%28Custom%29.jpg

luukin guud!

i have to rethink this again. i want it to look supersmooth when finished.

now it looks ok and sounds great!

110620112997%20%28Custom%29.jpg

this how it should look like, but the panel wont fit...

hmm

110620112995%20%28Custom%29.jpg

this might be one reason, need to cut some metal here.

110620112996%20%28Custom%29.jpg

ow shait, that's bad.

well ill cut a hole in the plywood :D

110620112999%20%28Custom%29.jpg

however when i put everything back in the car it looks like this.

don't have to worry about the panel for now :D

tomorrow is another day, forecast says thunder, winds and lotsa rain...

just in time.

;)

Nice work, are you planning on using larger wire to the smaller amp? Looks like you could go up a size or 2

Steven

Does this smell funny to you? Its your sister :roflmao:

Wall that bitch :good:

hahaha.

no.

that would be like... 8x 12" in a diamond shape minimum, and i don't hav that much cash.

there is room for box size: 4ft x 3ft x 8ft roughly and still have room for batts and amps.

maybe next year :3

Lots of progess, looks clean once the rear top is closed, what where'd the amps go?!?! :drink40:

hoho thanks! that area is used for extra 2 seats, so the car can be transformed from 5 seater to 7 seater car.

that box is one of the best things i've found in my car, the best thing was when i discovered the area where the back-battery is now!

i was like: YYYYYYYEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Nice work, are you planning on using larger wire to the smaller amp? Looks like you could go up a size or 2

Steven

smaller amp is 4x250W peak, i have measured roughly 50watts rms / channel with clamp meter. so it does not need more than that, but when i start to clean it up i might change it up to a size, however the terminals are so smal that anything larger than that 8mm2 is hard to connect.

thanks for the comments, they keep me goin!

sorry for late update, i forgot to update yesterday :D

120620113001%20%28Custom%29.jpg

day started with trying to make the panel fit.

little markings how much i should cut off

120620113002%20%28Custom%29.jpg

use your screwdriver to pop these off

120620113003%20%28Custom%29.jpg

like so

120620113004%20%28Custom%29.jpg

same markings to plywood

120620113005%20%28Custom%29.jpg

poke it till there is a hole for your cable

120620113006%20%28Custom%29.jpg

checking it out how it fits.

120620113007%20%28Custom%29.jpg

give a little scissors to the fabric

120620113008%20%28Custom%29.jpg

glue lotsa glue

120620113009%20%28Custom%29.jpg

glue and use staplegun to make the fabric stick to the plywood

120620113010%20%28Custom%29.jpg

looking good!

120620113011%20%28Custom%29.jpg

the floorpanels are out now.

there is 42cm height from the floor to the lowest point of the backseat.

a 18" subwoofer is 47cm in diameter, so it is not too bad, but will affect if i try to competete in 1500w stock. however 18" is always a 18".

120620113013%20%28Custom%29.jpg

then what to do with this

120620113014%20%28Custom%29.jpg

i tought long how to fix this, should i cut it straight, drill holes or wtf to do with it.

120620113025%20%28Custom%29.jpg

then i decided to go by the easiest way.

120620113027%20%28Custom%29.jpg

a hole.

120620113028%20%28Custom%29.jpg

i taped the cables flat underneath the panel and used some cablestripper to secure my RCA:s from sharp metal

120620113029%20%28Custom%29.jpg

like so

120620113030%20%28Custom%29.jpg

the panel does not fit perfectly, but well enough for me.

120620113031%20%28Custom%29.jpg

then underneath the amps a piece of plywood to hold em firmly

120620113032%20%28Custom%29.jpg

i just sticked it underneath, between the 2 layers of fabric, one sound isolator one the interior.

120620113033%20%28Custom%29.jpg

voila!

120620113035%20%28Custom%29.jpg

then at the front i had pulled 2 wires from the back battery, so i can check my voltage while bumping bass

120620113036%20%28Custom%29.jpg

voltmeter (from dealextreme) went to here, and cables were sticked inside the panels

120620113037%20%28Custom%29.jpg

plug it in

120620113039%20%28Custom%29.jpg

the outside sensor was pulled trough firewall into engine bay and always to the passanger's side of the car.

to avoid heat from the engine and not totally outside to avoid wind when driving.

120620113040%20%28Custom%29.jpg

at back i connected wires trough relay, so everytime i push my radio on the relay allows the voltmeter to work.

simple.

like so.

i had a littlebit of time to bump first bass out from the car.

it wasnt much, but still!

i CANNOT WAIT TILL THE 18" ARRIVES :S

shaking littlebit, that 12" fatboii gets 300w atm to 4@ and the box is factorymade, so its morelike rubbish.

better than nothing, for now.

130620113042%20%28Custom%29.jpg

these i gotta attach next. to avoid amps overheating

130620113043%20%28Custom%29.jpg

drill hole in the middle

actually i had noidea how to do this, i just did it whitout thinking too much :D

130620113044%20%28Custom%29.jpg

4 holes for 4 fans

130620113045%20%28Custom%29.jpg

cut the fabric in X -shape and rip it out with screwdriver

130620113046%20%28Custom%29.jpg

mmkay, looks promising

130620113047%20%28Custom%29.jpg

taped it up so i wont cut it while sawing the holes

130620113048%20%28Custom%29.jpg

like so

130620113049%20%28Custom%29.jpg

now let's see how it goes.

this machine tends to ruin everything in my hands. end result is ugle always.

130620113050%20%28Custom%29.jpg

ummh...

okay then.

130620113051%20%28Custom%29.jpg

suck it :P

130620113052%20%28Custom%29.jpg

its not that bad

130620113053%20%28Custom%29.jpg

they fit!

130620113054%20%28Custom%29.jpg

extra's off

130620113055%20%28Custom%29.jpg

pretty ugle, but its gonna be loud, so like EXO says: i dont care if i look stupid and sound great, i dont want to sound stupid and look great.

130620113056%20%28Custom%29.jpg

little bit of glue

130620113057%20%28Custom%29.jpg

and stamp it

130620113059%20%28Custom%29.jpg

i was planning to use original VOLVO speaker grills, but i had only 2 with one missing the chrome ring. so i decided only to use the plain grills for now

130620113060%20%28Custom%29.jpg

that's not bad... i think

130620113063%20%28Custom%29.jpg

littlebit bigger fans to the other side.

130620113064%20%28Custom%29.jpg

duct -tape <3

theyre connected to smaller amps GND and RMT so everytime i push "on" from the headunit, fans turns on.

i had to get somesort cable holders, i hate plain cables lying around if theyre smaller than 0AWG

130620113065%20%28Custom%29.jpg

i think theyre straight, or atleast i hope :D

130620113066%20%28Custom%29.jpg

left side did not have that much blowing powa

130620113067%20%28Custom%29.jpg

but the other side has POWAAAA!! (jeremy clarckson imitation)

130620113068%20%28Custom%29.jpg

magic!

that should do it for today.
