Chris
Alright, I'm wondering about the power handling on 15" Alpine Type R's. They're rated at 750rms which is 250 higher than the 12" but I'm wondering if I got 2 of the dual 4ohm version, would they handle around 1000rms daily, or if I bought the dual 2ohm version, could they take 1500 each? The amps will be my 2 T1000.1bd's. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm totally open to comments. 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. dwright27
ive heard of people runnning one on 900 - 1100 rms before but i dont think they lasted long. and that was 12's, but you might be able to get away with it if you're careful. 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. j_black10
I had 4 Type R 12s running off a Hifonics Brutus BX1500D and it Beat the Block Down!!! I wouldn't run one on a T10001bd @ 1ohm. Like YBZ29 said, I would get 4 dual 4ohms and run 2 to each T10001bd if you have the room to do so. That would pound Hard!! You may get away with running 1 dual 4ohm to each T10001, but you would have to be careful with it. AudioControlRockford FosgateXSPower
Chris
Thanks for the input guys. Yeah both of my amps put out around 1000rms at 2ohms, but really I want to get full power out of them or else it's a waste. I was doubting Type R's could handle 1500rms, but figured I'd ask. 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.
