Jd1102
Well i was thinking about 2 of those, or just a l7 15'' kicker. But then i learn about all these underground subs, just tryin to get a feel for what is best for me, i don't wanna be regreting or wanting something different a bigger boom in 4-6 months yanno man? And JD i gotcha, im still new to all this audio, how would you blow a sub though, wire it wrong or what. a cliped signal gains set wrong- wired wrong- setting the deck wrong - not enough power to amp causing voltage drop causing amp to go boom theres alot of things that will cause a sub to blow agreed its to late for me to be typin all that just went with simple answer
uhoh_45
Okay i got you guys, thanks a ton. Yeah i know nothing about clipping ect. Honestly i don't know how much rms im pushing anyways i have a cheap 2000w Crunch 2000.1 amp. Running to a KickerCVX 750rms sub, that's not even in the right box. So is it possible that im not even hitting the 750 it can handle. If so i'll still want a dif sub, but i won't be looking for the crazy amount of wattages haha. And stick to the 1500 or so. That's a wonderful suggestion because i really don't want to have to get another alt battery ect. But if i have to for a big boom i will. Thanks so much man. go back to second page and read my post about the HD312 and click link there solid subs and if down the road your looking for more buy a second 12 and go from there 2 12s and a solid 2k amp will do well in that car and only real upgrades you would need would be the big 3 up front and an upgraded battery under the hood R.I.P! matt402
its a crx, as long as u build a decent box & set everything up right (no clipping) itll be decently loud .
TheNewbie
Hey man, that HD sub i haven't heard of it, although i haven't heard of half these brands haha, only knew of mainstream before. But is it also well known underground mate? Check out my build log: http://www.stevemead...60#entry1958353 Different folks have different strokes. conley916
Id say a dc xl is perfect for you if your just starting. A level 5 is gonna cost you a lot more after all is said and done Yeah it does cost alot, im still saving up for the sub/H.O. Alt. I'm pretty sure my Level 5 18 is going to laugh at the 3.5k and want a bigger amp 2015 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack audio coming soon

conley916
its a crx, as long as u build a decent box & set everything up right (no clipping) itll be decently loud . My buddy had a jl w3 ported box(not sure what it was tuned too) and some jl amp and it got pretty loud. Those CRXs are good cars to put systems in. If I owned one i'd probably do two DC Level 5 12s on a DC 5k amp, that shit would get loud. 2015 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack audio coming soon
