REAudio50
Im a freshman at college and I cant have my car here so no stereo for my. But I have my lap top here and I was wondering how to add some sort of stereo to it. What I want to do primarily is like add 2 big bookshelf speakers or somethin like that and a big subwoofer. Im not as familiar with home audio stuff as I am with car audio stuff. And hopefully I dont wanna spend a whole lot on this either. I mean I have car stuff to buy fellas haha. Thanks for the suggestions!!! Dale
I would suggest a decent external sound card with a Logitech or Creative 5.1 system.

westsideboiii
this might be a stupid question but can a laptop be hooked up to a home theather system? yes its possible You need this type of Y cable. mini to rca y cable like qu1cks1lver56 said. Heres a picture: I would recomend a Altec Lansing 2.1 speaker system for home audio. (cheap but good) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...3051&catid= And if you have more money avaible take a bose system: (expensive but excellent) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...8648&catid= I heard both system in my local shop and both are good for movies , music and gaming! greetz westsideboiii /edit: what the hack wicked? $11 for a Y cable? he wants a simple home audio system not an Monster THX system you can get these cables much cheaper all you pay for is the design! http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-MALE-to-DUAL-RCA...1QQcmdZViewItem Edited January 22, 2008 by westsideboiii Quote 1 Alpine 9886 1 Clarion APA250 100w @ 4 Ohms 1 Rockford-Fosgate 10" p2 1 Bassworx 10" Sealed enclosoure

qu1cks1lver56
bose is nice, but u can get better for less, ive seen/heard many systems that sound way better than any bose system could think of sounding but yea just get yourself a mini to rca y cable and hook it up to an input on ur reciever, and let the tunes play Quote First Gen Xterra: Always changing DNX 690HD RF 360.3RF T3002RF T4004RF T10001bdSilver Flute 6.5"s Tang Band 1" TweetersSundown X18 in 7cubes net tuned to 32hz Trust me .25 Blows your Load.
