matinence free meaning you dont have to add water like wet cells after time. but if you let it sit its not like it will hold a constant charge for forever... Im just trying to help you not fuck up ur alt. check the voltage with a dmm if its 12.5+ go for it. if not, leave it on trickle for a lil while.. or just hook it up regardless.. ppl do it, i mean its just a risk taking kinda thing. your choice.

oh its at 12.5-12.6v sorry i dont mean to be a difficult noob, just dont wanna waste the money i spent on this beauty, because i have been known to wreck brand new things because of just jumping into it.

where can i get a good not-xspower-expensive agm charger? ill order it after the canada postal strike <_<

I got mine at walmart about 65 bucks. I put 2 deka batterys and 220 amp alternatorin at the same time. both my batterys where at 12.4 when I put them in and when I replaced my alt it charged at 12.9 at idel. I was kinda pisses so I did a slow charge overnight and now they rest at 12.85 and 14.3 as soon as I start the truck
